I can understand why a non-economist would not like freakonomics as much as an educational text. Freakonomics is more an exercise in taking all the econ theory and thought process and applying it / examining it against more absurd real day behaviour. ...

I didn't realize that those ugly things were so popular but ugly seems to be all the craze now that I think about it. Ugh. I wondered why people were wearing their gardening shoes out in public!

This is too funny: Confused man with one shoe found covered in dressing at D/FW.
